I create handbuilt ceramic pieces that are both functional and sculptural.
Each piece is individually crafted by me, Lauren, entirely by hand — then kiln-fired to over 2,300°F. Every form is made by hand, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

My work includes trays, platters, wall pieces, and sculptural objects designed for walls, tabletops, and everyday living— functional art meant to be used, displayed, and enjoyed.

Ready Made / Ready to Ship pieces are already completed and available for immediate purchase.
Orders typically ship within 3–5 business days.

If you see an item marked “Sold Out,” it is still available as a Made to Order piece.
You can contact me to have a similar piece recreated.

• Lead Time: Approximately 3–4 months

• Each made-to-order piece will be similar, but not identical, due to the handmade nature of ceramics.

Yes! Commissions are a big part of Lauren’s art practice.  We would be delighted to vibe together on your project! To start the process, please email hello@theTALLstudio.com.  discuss details, timeline, and pricing.

Please include any photos that you have of your space,  ideas about the concept, sizing, shape, function and / or colors.   

I use white stoneware that is fired at cone 10 (a high-temperature firing, generally reaching between 2,284∘F and 2,381 F)

Yes — local delivery is available within Chicago.
If you are located in the Chicago area, contact me directly to coordinate a drop-off time. Delivery timing will be confirmed after purchase.

Local delivery helps reduce shipping risk for larger or more delicate ceramic pieces.

All Sales Final

Due to the handmade and one-of-a-kind nature of each ceramic piece, all sales are final. I do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, sizing, or aesthetic preference.

Each work is individually crafted and described as accurately as possible. Please review measurements and photos carefully before purchasing.

Made-to-Order & Custom Work

Made-to-order and custom pieces are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
These works are created specifically for you and cannot be resold.

Natural Variations

Each ceramic piece is individually handbuilt and kiln-fired. Variations in size, shape, glaze, hair line cracks and texture are happen in the kiln and part of the character of handmade ceramics — these are not considered defects.

Shipping Responsibility

Once an order has been shipped, delivery timelines and carrier handling are outside my control. I package all work carefully to minimize risk, but in the rare event of transit damage, please follow the damaged item instructions above.

Damaged Items

If your piece arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with:

• Your order number

• Clear photos of the item and packaging

I will review the claim and, if approved, offer a replacement (if possible), repair, or refund at my discretion.

After 24 hours, orders are placed into production and cannot be canceled.
